Built in 1998 over the old Pirelli factory, the campus includes classrooms, research laboratories, study and recreational areas for students. Its 28 buildings spread all over Milan, Monza and the Maldives.
The Department of Psychology of the University of Milano-Bicocca was established in 1999 as part of a newly-instituted university. However, its roots lie in the Institute of Psychology founded after World War I by Cesare L. Musatti.
With the support of
Marica De Vincenzi (1956 - 2006) was a brilliant, internationally renowned psycholinguist. At the onset of her illness in 2004 Marica established a fund for a Foundation aimed at promoting the scientific investigation of the mental mechanisms involved in the comprehension, production, and acquisition of language, stressing the social relevance of such research. The Marica De Vincenzi Foundation ONLUS was established in 2006 as a non-profit, socially helpful organization.
